Gone Girl -- A faithful adaptation of one of the best books of the last decade. David Fincher's film is a twisted thrill-ride that packs a punch. 3. Under the Skin -- Gorgeous, pulse-pounding and experimental. A heartfelt yet eerie look into human nature. 4, Whiplash -- An emotional, thrilling, thought-provoking and well-acted drama about jazz music--what a rush. 5.
