Would you expect anything better than gold from Phillips, Stiller, Wilson, Vaughn and Bateman?
49. Once (2006) - Directed by John Carney. Starring Glen Hansard, Marketa Irglova.
This film is wonderful. The music is magical and the performances ring true.
48. Inglourious Basterds (2009) - Directed by Quentin Tarantino. Starring Brad Pitt.
Christoph Waltz and Melanie Laurent put this film over the top.
47. The Informant! (2009) - Directed by Steven Soderbergh. Starring Matt Damon.
Damon is fantastic and Soderbergh's film making is better than ever.
46. Cabin Fever (2002) - Directed by Eli Roth. Starring Rider Strong.
This is one of my guilty pleasures. It delivers laughs and shrieks.
45. 50 First Dates (2004) - Directed by Peter Segal. Starring Adam Sandler.
Sandler at his very best, and a wonderful performance from Sean Astin.
44. The Jacket (2005) - Directed by John Maybury. Starring Adrien Brody.
Brody and Knightley have such great chemistry. A top notch psychological thriller.
43. Mulholland Dr. (2001) - Directed by David Lynch. Starring Naomi Watts.
I may not quite understand this film, even after a dozen or so views, but it will always challenge your mind and won't leave it either.
42. Zoolander (2001) - Directed by Ben Stiller. Starring Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson.
Stiller has directed three fantastic films (Zoolander, The Cable Guy, Tropic Thunder).
41. There Will Be Blood (2007) - Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. Starring Daniel Day-Lewis.
A chilling and haunting look into the early years of the oil business.

  1. I didn't know where to put this comment so I'll just put it here. Just saw the teaser for the True Grit remake- Prediction: Roger Deakins wins Academy Award for Best Cinematography...and I'm saying that as someone who loved Inception. PEACE!

  2. You might be right. The Coen Brothers and Roger Deakins have teamed up before and didn't disappoint. He's one of the best in the business. This film gives me something to do on Christmas day.
