Top 30 TV Shows of All Time
30. Space Ghost Coast to Coast ('93-'99, '01, '03-'04)
This was one of the first Adult Swim shows I began watching. An animated Space Ghost would interview real celebrities from a strange planet. His sidekicks Moltar and Brak would add fuel to the fire. Space Ghost did interviews with the likes of Jim Carrey, Weird Al, Willie Nelson and Bill Shatner to name a few.
29. Tosh.0 ('09-Present)
This is one of my favorite new shows. It airs quite often on Comedy Central, and Daniel Tosh is hilarious. It's basically just like The Soup with Joel McHale, but way dirtier and funnier. You won't ever need to go on YouTube ever again.
28. Jackass ('00-'02)
Jackass only lasted three seasons, which is hard to believe. Although their episodes aren't usually as funny as their films, they're still worth watching. Still one of the best MTV shows ever made. We shall see if a fourth film will ever be made.
27. SpongeBob SquarePants ('99-Present)
To be honest, I don't watch SpongeBob anymore. But, the early years were frequently funny and oddly provocative. The SpongeBob movie was very worthwhile, despite a boring last half hour. There are about ten episodes that simply have to be seen. Whenever Thomas F. Wilson (Biff from the Back to the Future trilogy) is in an episode you have to tune in.
26. Futurama ('99-'03, '10-Present)
Much like Family Guy, Futurama didn't immediately find an audience. Now-a-days it's on like five channels. After taking seven years off, the show has started back up again (in June). It will never be as funny as the first season (or the first episode for that matter), but it's never dull. I actually prefer it over The Simpsons. Yeah, I said it.
25. The Flight of the Conchords ('07, '09)
Definitely not for everyone, which is probably why it only lasted 22 episodes. Jemaine Clement (Eagle vs Shark, Dinner for Schmucks) and Bret McKenzie made a great comedic team. But Rhys Darby (Yes Man, Pirate Radio) was the main reason to tune in. Probably the best show ever to come from Australia.
24. Stella ('05)
I, like many others, overlooked Stella when it first came out. The name itself was a reason to skip it. But when I became aware of Michael Showalter, Michael Ian Black and David Wain, I had to give it a shot. What a wonderful ten episodes they put together. The second episode "Campaign" is definitely worth a look.
23. Human Giant ('07-'08)
This show owned MTV for a couple months. I'm not exactly sure why it was cancelled. Aziz Ansari (Observe and Report, Funny People) and Rob Huebel (I Love You, Man, The Other Guys) carried the show. If you like edgy sketch-comedy, than this show is for you.
22. The Assistant ('04)
One of the best short-lived shows ever. Obviously not enough people like Andy Dick. I for one, think he's absolutely hilarious. I mean have you seen Dude, Where's My Car? Eight short episodes later and boom, cancelled. I only know a couple people who watched the show when it aired in '04. We are a lucky few.
21. Arrested Development ('03-'06)
This show was before its time. People weren't ready for Jason Bateman (Extract, Hancock) and Will Arnett (Blades of Glory, Hot Rod) yet. It's often very dry humor, and you need to pay attention to get many of the jokes. But it wasn't for teens, it was for adults. A movie is in the works, so we have that to look forward to.
